A Watsonville pedestrian was struck by a garbage truck yesterday (Thursday) morning. The 35 year old man was reportedly jaywalking when he was hit by the truck. The victim was transported to a trauma center with severe injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation. Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor.
