(06:55) Santa Cruz – The murder suspect accused of raping and killing a Santa Cruz girl is back in court this week for a transfer hearing. Superior Court Judge, John Salazar will determine whether 17 year-old Adrian Gonzales will be tried as an adult or a juvenile for killing 8-year-old Maddy Middleton in 2015 at their Santa Cruz Tannery Arts Center apartment complex. The transfer hearing began on Tuesday and will resume today at 10:00 a.m. in a Santa Cruz County Superior Court Room. Dozens of witnesses are expected to take the stand.
