The Monterey County District Attorney’s Office released the results of an investigation into an officer involved shooting in Salinas that left a teenager dead. The finding states that there was no wrong doing in the shooting death of 16 year old Marlon Rodas on January 18th. Rodas ignored police commands to drop a knife he was armed with, non lethal attempts to subdue him, including two tasings were unsuccessful. A toxicology report showed that Rodas, who was associated with street gangs, had a potentially fatal amount of methamphetamine in his system at the time of the incident.
