A motorcyclist has been sentenced to 6 years in prison for hitting and killing a Salinas teenager. Andrew Bennett (who didn’t have a driver’s license or insurance at the time) was reportedly driving 90 miles an hour on Salinas city streets, before he drove through a red light and hit 17 year-old Gabriela Beas. The October 2016 crash occurred at the intersection of North Main Street and Harden Parkway.
