As of Saturday, the police officers at California State University Monterey Bay have been outfitted with body cameras. CSUMB leaders believe that they are one of the first Cal State campuses to have the devices, but additional campuses are working on implementation of the cameras. University of California administrators state that they are also considering cameras for the entire UC system.
The officer is responsible for turning the camera on and off and uploading the images to a cloud system.
