(06:45) Capitola – A man was taken into custody after he robbed a gas station in Capitola. The incident took place this morning at 3:45 at the Shell Gas Station on 41st Avenue. The suspect reportedly brandished a knife at the clerk, demanded money and then fled on foot from the business. Officers located the suspect, Jesus Palafox, on 38th Avenue at Capitola Road, after searching the area for an hour. A knife and cash were recovered during the arrest. Palafox was booked in Santa Cruz County Jail.
