A number of motorists saw a man, dressed as a clown, standing on the shoulder of Highway 101 this morning. 61 year-old Larry Allen Tovey, who was between Prunedale and Aromas at the time, was reportedly holding a machete over his head. After speaking with Tovey for a while, law enforcement officers determined that although he had a sick sense of humour, he had not committed any crimes.
