Tuesday CalTrans announced that it has no idea when the massive slip out that occurred last weekend along Highway One on the Big Sur coast will be cleared. The road is buried under forty feet of rock and debris. The slide near Mud Creek is from one-quarter to a half mile wide. Geologist are looking at it and soon there will be a better idea about when it will be safe to clear and fix the road. Construction crews need to wait for the immediate danger to pass before beginning to work.
