A Sand City businessman has pleaded guilty to committing tax fraud. Daniel Laine Kyle also admitted to structuring monetary transactions to avoid reporting sales. Kyle admitted that between August 2007 and March 2014, he purchased more than $825,000 worth of money orders with cash. The maximum sentence for avoiding reporting sales is 10 years in prison and a $500,000 fine. The maximum sentence for intentionally filing a false tax return is a $250,000 fine and three years in prison. Kyle is scheduled to be sentenced in August.
