(18:23)APTOS- The Soquel Creek Water District is one of several water districts filing law suits against the Shell Oil and Dow Chemical companies. The two corporations manufactured TCP, a cancer-causing chemical found in pesticides used locally on strawberry fields until the 1980’s. The chemical was discovered in Rio Del Mar area well in 2008. Although all of the lawsuits are being seen by the same judge the legal actions are not a class action suit.
