Cal-Trans says it will cost about 30 million dollars to make a portion of Highway 35 drive-able again. Locals call the hole in Skyline Boulevard “The Crater”, and it’s unclear if Cal-Trans will fill it, bridge it, or curve the mountain roadway up the hill around the landslide. Soil samples taken in the area will help Cal-Trans officials determine how to proceed.
