A former Salinas man died in a single-engine plane crash in Alaska. 28 year-old Thomas Grainger was flying the plane from Wasilla to Nome on Sunday. His downed plane was found near Hastings Creek. The plane crash is being investigated. Grainger is survived by his parents Joe and Lori Grainger (of Salinas).
