(08:00) Santa Cruz County – The Santa Cruz County’s winter rainstorm damages grew to 25 million dollars yesterday. The 5th district currently needs 10 percent of the 200 million to 300 million dollars of the state wide damages. Governor Jerry Brown has requested assistance through the Federal Highway Administration Emergency’s Relief Program, which could provide up to 75 percent of funding to help fix streets such as Bear Creek Road in boulder creek, Valencia road in Aptos and Soquel-San José road.
