(19:12) WATSONVILLE- A Santa Cruz County jury convicted a Watsonville man on second degree murder charges last week. On Tuesday a jury found Luciano Acevedo guilty of the June 2015 murder of Carlos Martinez during an attempted drug robbery of the victim and his girlfriend at a homeless encampment at the Watsonville slough. Acevedo was also convicted for threatening a jury member. He will have to serve a minimum of 50 years when he is sentenced next year.
