A Santa Cruz man has pleaded not guilty to 3 felony charges related to the making and selling of the L-S-D that 15 year-old Luke Smith allegedly took before he stabbed his father and uncle (in Corralitos). 28 year-old Nathaniel Trecaso is scheduled to return to a Santa Cruz County court room January 11th, for a preliminary hearing on those charges. Smith was killed in an officer-involved shooting that took place after he refused to put down the knife (he had reportedly used in the stabbing), and kept advancing toward law enforcement officers. That shooting is still being investigated.
