(11:15) Salinas – Students of Alisal High School participated in a peaceful protest yesterday afternoon. Hundreds of students walked out of class on a half- mile march in an effort to unite the community. As students walked along Williams Road some chanted “not my president” while other protestors came out to address the issues that the Salinas community is facing. There have been mixed reactions from community members about the protest. While some believe the students should be suspended or expelled for walking out of class, school leaders supported the students protest and walked with them.
