(10:10) Santa Cruz – A bicyclist was hit by a car on Soquel Drive and died last night (Wednesday). The incident took place on Soquel Drive near Rosedale Avenue around 10:30 p.m. CHP reported an 18 year-old man, of Soquel, was driving and struck the 31-year-old bicyclist from behind. The bicyclist died at the scene. It is unclear at this time if drugs or alcohol were a factor. Anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to contact THE Santa Cruz Police Department.
