The president, and C-E-O, of a local medical facility is being honored for his contributions to programs that help the local farmworker community. Pete Delgado, who was a farm laborer as a teenager, is scheduled to receive the Ben Heller Award For Leadership And Courage. The Salinas-based Center For Community Advocacy plans to give Delgado the award at their October 30th Dia De Los Muertos banquet at C-S-U-M-B’s Center near Oldtown Salinas.
