(18:00) SALINAS- The Salinas Police Department is encouraging residents to attend their Coffee With A Cop event on Tuesday. The free event is at the La Plaza Bakery at 107 Bardin Road. The gathering is part of an ongoing effort to make the streets of Salinas safer by creating trusting relationships by meeting in a relaxed setting, while giving residents another way of asking questions they may have for the police. It’s also a chance for anyone interested in becoming a police officer to learn more about careers available with the Salinas Police Department.
