(23:59) FORMER FORT ORD – A very special Grand Opening is scheduled to take place in October. The long-awaited Central Coast Veterans’ Cemetery is slated to hold its Grand Opening on Tuesday October 11th. When Fort Ord closed September 30th of 1994, the community promised to build a veterans cemetery, to provide veterans (and their families) with a final resting place, that honors their achievements and sacrifices on behalf of our nation.
