A 19 year-old woman died, and a 15 year-old pregnant girl suffered critical injuries, in a solo vehicle accident early this morning on highway 9 in Saratoga. The driver, who initially fled the scene of the 1:15 a.m. crash, turned himself in late this morning. 29 year-old San Leandro resident Alex Eduardo Antunez-Garcia faces possible charges of felony vehicular manslaughter and felony hit-and-run. The crash occurred just wets of redwood gulch road when the car went over a cliff, went airborne, and then crashed into a tree that was about 30 feet from the road. Highway 9 was closed in both directions for about 4 hours.
