(06:17) SALINAS – One person was killed and another injured in two separate shootings in Salinas Wednesday night. The first incident was reported shortly before 9:30 p.m. on the 300 block of North Main Street. At the scene, police found a 35-year-old Hispanic man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive. The shooter was described as a black man, around 5-foot-7, wearing all black. He was last seen running southbound on North Main Street toward Rossi Street. Shortly after the first shooting, a second occurred on the 16000 block of El Rancho Way. Arriving officers found one shooting victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Both shootings are under investigation. (S.G.)
