(06:22) SALINAS – Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting that took place in Salinas early Monday morning. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. on the 500 block of Sunrise Street. Officials say a 28-year-old man was standing in front of his home when he was approached by an individual armed with a gun. The assailant fired multiple rounds, striking the victim once in the abdomen. A grey pickup truck, possibly a Toyota Tacoma, was seen leaving the area shortly after the shooting. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Anyone with information is to contact Salinas police. (S.G.)
