(19:16) SALINAS – Although about 14-thousand people are said to have attended the free fireworks show Monday night at the Salinas Sports Complex…..Salinas police confiscated illegal fireworks in 30 separate cases. 13 people were arrested or cited because of fireworks, and the police and fire departments received hundreds of electronic reports of illegal fireworks use or sales. Despite having extra officers on patrol, they were not able to process all of those reports, however they have the information, (and in some cases even photographs) so they should be able to find the perpetrators and issue citations.
