(10:04) MONTEREY COUNTY – Los Padres National Forest officials have started enforcing restrictions on fires for visitors. Beginning Tuesday, wood and charcoal fires are prohibited in all areas of the forest, except for designated campfire sites. However, anyone with a California Campfire Permit is allowed to use portable stoves and lanterns outside of designated campfire sites. Smoking and recreational target shooting are also prohibited.
