(07:18) MONTEREY COUNTY – A Salinas Valley State Prison inmate has been sentenced on two counts of felony assault. 56-year-old Mario Torres was found guilty of committing two stabbings inside the prison in June 2012 and May 2015. One of the victims was left permanently paralyzed after being attacked by Torres. Torres was serving life in prison for murder. On Thursday, he was sentenced to an additional prison term of 105 years to life. (S.G.)
