(07:36) WATSONVILLE – The public is invited to attend a mixer in Watsonville Thursday night to raise funds for the renovation of the Sotomayor Soccer Field at Ramsay Park. The event is part of a fundraising campaign called “Play It Forward”, launched by the Friends of Watsonville Parks & Community Services. The organization hopes to raise enough money through the campaign to pay for a number of field improvements, including artificial turf, lighting, concrete bleachers and shading. The event will begin at 5 p.m. at the Civic Plaza Community Room on Main Street. (S.G.)
