(14:44) APTOS- A Santa Cruz county sheriff’s deputy rescued an Aptos woman from a burning building on Saturday. Shortly before 1 p.m. deputies arrived to a reported fire on the 100 block of Windemere Lane. At the scene officers found a woman trapped on the second floor of a home engulfed in flames. A deputy retrieved a neighbor’s ladder to assist the woman to safety. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
