(07:55) SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – Santa Cruz County officials are meeting Tuesday to discuss the future of Soquel Cemetery. The burial ground, located on Soquel San Jose Road, has become a tax-defaulted property. Since the cemetery’s property taxes have gone unpaid for over five years, the county now has the option of selling the parcel. The property was previously owned by Soquel Cemetery Inc., whose corporation license was revoked in 2012. The parcel will be auctioned off next month, with the opening bid set at $7,400. (S.G.)
