(07:07) MONTEREY COUNTY – A Salinas man has been found guilty of murder. Officials say 20-year-old Andre Tyrone Johnson fatally shot Solomon Sandoval Perez in a Seaside motel room in 2014. Johnson was arrested two days after the shooting, after being found in possession of Perez’s cellphone. He was convicted this week of first-degree murder and residential burglary. Johnson faces 50 years to life in prison when he is sentenced June 28. (S.G.)
