(07:45) SANTA CRUZ – A Santa Cruz woman was arrested this week on suspicion of mail theft and drug possession. On Tuesday, police were dispatched to the 100 block of Bixby Street following a report of a woman going through residential mailboxes. At the scene, officers contacted 30-year-old Lillian Norman, who was found in possession of stolen mail and heroin. Norman was identified as the woman recently caught on surveillance footage taking mail from a mailbox in front of a home on Escalona Drive. She was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail and has been charged with 11 misdemeanors. Santa Cruz Police have arrested Norman seven times on similar charges and she is a suspect in a number of other burglary and theft cases. (S.G.)
