(06:51) MONTEREY COUNTY – A Salinas man has pleaded no contest to a number of felony charges, including grand theft auto and evading arrest. In January and February, 25-year-old Jacob Szkodzinski led law enforcement officers on several car chases while driving stolen vehicles. Szkodzinski was also caught using credit cards and checks that he had taken from parked cars. He was eventually arrested after being found inside a stolen vehicle with heroin and stolen property. Szkodzinski faces eight years in prison when he is sentenced May 12. (S.G.)
