(18:01) BIG SUR – Highway 1, which was closed in the Big Sur area for a while today, re-opened this afternoon. The roadway was closed after several smaller redwood trees fell across wires about a mile south of the Big Sur Maintenance Station. One of the trees tree also landed on an unoccupied vehicle there.
