March 21, 2016: Salinas Man Arrested for Brandishing Gun in Oldtown

(7:43) SALINAS – A man was arrested on Friday after allegedly brandishing a firearm in Oldtown Salinas. Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Main Street around 9:30 p.m. following a report of an armed man making threats. At the scene, officers located 44-year-old David Camel, who hid behind cars and ignored police commands. The suspect was eventually detained and booked into Monterey County Jail. A loaded semi-automatic gun was found underneath a vehicle Camel used to hide behind. He faces additional charges of resisting arrest and being a felon in possession of a firearm. (S.G.)
