(07:46) SANTA CRUZ – Student artists at UC Santa Cruz have been invited to submit works to the 20th Annual de Young Student Showcase. Over a dozen artists have created works based around the theme of “Sanctuary”, and will display their art in the Bridge Gallery on campus before submitting them to the de Young showcase. The exhibition begins Friday with a reception at the gallery from 5 to 7 p.m. The artworks will remain on display all next week. (S.G.)
