(16:59) SANTA CRUZ- The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s office is investigating an attempted child abduction. Authorities say that a 6th grade girl was walking to Shoreline Middle school in the Live Oak area Thursday (yesterday) morning when she noticed she was being followed by a man in a newer gold sedan. As the student neared the campus the man grabbed her wrist and attempted to pull the girl into the vehicle. The intended victim was able to break free and alert school officials. Anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s office.
