February 4, 2016: Soledad Woman Convicted for Giving False information to Police

(08:57) MONTEREY COUNTY – A Soledad woman has been convicted for giving false information to a police officer. In August, 24-year-old Gracia Naranjo was involved in a car crash on North Main Street in Salinas. Following the incident, Naranjo switched seats with the driver, who was under the influence of alcohol. During the investigation, Naranjo told officers that she was the driver at the time of the crash. However, several witnesses reported seeing a male driver. Naranjo was taken into custody. On Wednesday, she was found guilty and sentenced to 30 days in jail and three years probation. (S.G.)
