(11:58) SALINAS- A Salinas homeless man and a CHP officer will be honored for saving two people from possible drowning following a car crash. The California Highway Patrol is examining a special award for Rick Biddle and Officer Cavender. The two worked together to save a Hollister mother and her 8 year old son after their vehicle left the roadway and ended up in a drainage canal. The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
