(08:35) Monterey – The Monterey regional airport held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday to showcase improvement that were made to its runways. The ceremony was the result of a years worth of effort in which the airport constructed an 80 foot high retaining wall and added a second cushion along the border with the Del Monte Golf Course. In its entirety, the project cost 52 million dollars, finishing in December of 2015 both on time and within the budget. (C.G.)
