CENTRAL COAST (06:45) – Cities across the central coast are in the midst of medical marijuana policy finalization. Marina city council members did not pass an ordinance to ban the cultivation of marijuana, instead, opting to redraft the legislation in two weeks. Council members also discussed whether they wish to allow the marijuana delivery within the city limits. All decisions regarding marijuana regulation must be made prior to march 1, 2016, when state regulations will be enforced for all local government who have not yet formed their own regulations. Carmel passed a unanimous ban on the cultivation of medical marijuana and dispensaries. Pacific Grove and Seaside will discuss their policies later this week. (C.G.)
