WATSONVILLE (6:00) – A Watsonville man was arrested early Monday morning on multiple charges including suspicion of possession an unregistered firearm. Police responded to a report of gunshots on the 2100 block of freedom boulevard at 130 am. Police encountered three men matching the description of the shooters in the near area. The 23-year-old Erwin Hernandez Garcia fled the scene, police giving chase and subsequently detaining him. Garcia was in possession of a machete at the time of his arrest, and allegedly discarded a revolver during the chase. (C.G.)
