Capitola (12:20) – The Capitola police department’s safe ride home program executed its 26th annual event. On the night of New Years Eve volunteers for the police department provided rides for more then 60 people who were too intoxicated to drive. Auto World in Santa Cruz and the Capitola Public Safety Foundation both donated passenger vans for the event. (C.G.)
