(06:56) SEASIDE – A Seaside resident shot a man who attempted to break into his home Wednesday afternoon. Officials say two men were at their residence on Kalborn Road around 12:30 p.m. when an intruder tried to enter the house. One resident fought with the suspect before the second resident shot the intruder twice in the torso. The suspect was transported to Natividad Medical Center for treatment. The resident who opened fire on the intruder was taken to the police station for questioning, but is not suspected of a crime at this time. The investigation is ongoing. (S.G.)
