December 22, 2015: Dyslexia Bill Receives Approval from State Senate, Assembly

(10:54) SACRAMENTO – California legislators have approved a bill that focuses on the needs of students with dyslexia. A-B 1369 will require state education officials to create a plan to help ensure the success of children diagnosed with the learning disability. The bill will also require public schools to offer specialized help and testing for dyslexic students. Education officials will begin developing a plan in accordance with the legislation starting in the 2017-18 school year. (S.G.)
