(2030) SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – A Dungeness Crab dinner may be hard to come by this holiday season. State health and wildlife officials announced more tests must be taken to determine if the neurotoxin known as domoic acid remains in local crabs, and that won’t be done until after Christmas Day. The Santa Cruz harbor is helping ease the burden on local fishermen by providing a payment plan for boat slips and by waving late fees.
