(1730) PACIFIC GROVE – Pacific Grove City council appointed Ben Harvey as the new interim city manager on Saturday. Harvey previously served as city manager in Avalon, a city in the Channel Islands, before being dismissed from his post in November following a performance evaluation that was concealed from the public. Harvey will take on the duties of city manager until he or another official is named to the position permanently. Harvey stated that he sees water usage and revenue has the top priorities for the city. He looks to begin working in early January.
