(12:06) CAPITOLA_ A Capitola surfer was pulled to safety on Friday. Rescue swimmers were deployed after receiving reports of surfer in distress. The surfer apparently became exhausted as waves kept increasing in size, reaching 10 feet at the surf spot frequented by novices because of its usually mild surf. No injuries were reported in the incident.
