(11:01) SALINAS – A Salinas man was arrested early Wednesday morning on multiple charges, including assault with a deadly weapon, felony evading arrest, and possession of drugs for sale. Following a two-month long investigation, deputies attempted to contact 31-year-old Jose Alfredo Morales at a hotel on West Laurel Drive. Morales drove his vehicle into a patrol unit and fled the scene. He was later located at a residence on the 700 block of Middlefield Road. A search of the home recovered drugs, guns, and $3,000 in cash. Morales was apprehended and booked into Monterey County Jail. (S.G.)
