(19:15) 17TH SENATE DISTRICT – California Senator Bill Monning has announced that he will run for re-election. He had thought about running for Sam Farr’s soon-to-be-available seat in congress, but Monning has determined that now is not the time for that move. Right now, Monning believes that he can do more as a state senator (than a Congressman) to protect our environment, public health, and public safety. Senator Monning was elected in 2012 and is currently the Senate Majority Leader as well as the chair of the Senate Committee On Legislative Ethics and a member of a number of senate committees.
