December 1, 2015: E. Coli Recall Expanded

(18:28) NATIONWIDE – The recall, stemming from a recent e. Coli outbreak, has been expanded. Although it was first thought that the packages of mixed onion-celery (used in the chicken salad at Costco) were the only source….but now 155 thousand items, such as salad kits, and vegetable trays have been identified as possible vectors. Those at-risk items are sold at major grocery store chains including Safeway, Albertsons, Wal-Marts, Sam’s Club, and Target. Although they have mostly been distributed in the western states, some of the vegetable packages were sent to stores as far away as Georgia, Arkansas, Nebraska and Hawaii. More than 45 thousand Starbucks holiday turkey sandwiches were distributed in California Oregon And Nevada.
